I've never left a bad review for a business, but our experience was so bad, I found it worth my time to set up an account to do so. From start to finish, it was really terrible. The estimate included work that was not completed (many more hours of labored than actually happened - we were home during installation). The installers left dirt everywhere, and chipped paint on 2 walls, as well as a door. The worst part, however, was that flooring started buckling immediately after installation near the dishwasher. After notifying JK, the damage was basically denied. They said the employees claimed they "didn't remember chipping anything" (honestly, why would I lie about something so odd?). We were eventually told someone would be out to look at it. 2 appointments were canceled, and we never heard back after that. I was so frustrated with the situation that we had a friend come over to fix the flooring the best he could. He actually pointed out several areas where the installation was done very poorly. Sure enough, less than a year later, other areas of the flooring are coming up and separating. The carpet installed prior by them (we had one room done, with seemingly no issues, which is why we re-booked for the rest of the work) had such bad waves that it needed to be restretched just over a year later. I contacted JK regarding that, and they said that not only would it be at our cost, but that their schedule was booked out so far they weren't making anymore more appointments for re-stretching. Of course, the company who did it for us told us how shoddy the installation was and informed us that the carpet was never stretched during installation, which is why it was loose and wavy. It's one thing to have people who may not be experienced to the work. I understand that things happen, and we're reasonable people. But to not offer a solution, or believe the customer (or show up to appointments to come see the problem yourself) is really a problem for me. I have never sworn of a business before, but JK no longer exists to us. We have a neighbor with a very similar experience (who will likely be reviewing soon, as well), so this is unfortunately not an isolated incident.
